Enchanté is the largest and most deluxe of our boutique barges on the Midi. It's upper and lower deck design, provides especially spacious cabins as well as a comfortable upstairs sitting room with large picture windows and open galley kitchen.
Roger and Louisa Gronow are totally immersed in hotel barging having worked on barges since their early twenties. They've used their many years of experience to convert and now operate this barge as a top of the line product, where the guests needs and pleasures are top priority.
Our week aboard Enchante was everything we hoped for, and more. Your good humor, knowledgeable conversation, great service and exceptional food made our adventure an incredibly memorable one. Take a bow! Au revoir,
Caroline & Michael, Australia
As an owner-operated barge, the Enchanté team provides the best of their service thanks to the discreet management of its owners.
Roger and Louisa Gronow, owners of Enchanté, combined their 25 years of experience as employees working on a variety of barges, to not only design and build Enchanté to reflect the best features of Deluxe barging, but also to provide the service and atmosphere that makes a barge cruise really special.
Enchanté's highly professional crew of five is comprised of an experienced Captain, Master Chef, Tour guide, Housekeeper and Hostess. Our crew are hand-picked for their personalities and then trained to provide service to our exacting standards; between them they deliver gourmet meals, fascinating excursions and first class service.
Open plan dining with demonstration galley, comfortable seating in saloon and open bar.
The spacious upper deck saloon is lined with large picture windows offering beautiful views of the French countryside. Even in inclement weather conditions you can watch the enchanting scenery slip by in total comfort thanks to the reversible air-conditioning.

Enchanté boasts 4 of the largest cabins on the Canal du Midi, offering exceptionally spacious accommodation for up 8 passengers.
Thanks to the design on two levels, Enchanté boasts the most spacious cabins on the Canal du Midi. Each of our 4 staterooms covers a similar size of (+or-)180 sq feet, all with an ensuite shower-room with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. To ensure a comfortable night's sleep, all the spacious cabins can be configured as either twin beds or queen size doubles. All cabins are equipped with reversible air conditioning, writing desks, bedside tables and wardrobes.
Teak exterior dining suite, Dimension One Spa hot-tub.
The saloon opens on to the front sun deck which, with its clean lines and curves, reflects the contemporary look of Enchanté. Here you can enjoy a glass of Champagne or a cocktail, al-fresco dining or relax in our eight person Jacuzzi ensconced in the bow of the boat.

France's wine reputation needs little introduction, and although we serve wines from all regions of France, we have spent many years finding out about Languedoc producers and hence most of our selection is sourced locally. Often classified as New World Wines, the wineries of the south of France offer great variety and exceptional quality.
Please note this is a sample wine list and availability depends on our suppliers. You might not be served all of the wines we have on board as we take great pride in teaming each wine to the Chef's menu and seasonal dishes may change.
